Oh yeah, they're the very best ever!🐡

They are the best fish tacos I have ever had. I had them twice in the past week I was on Treasure Island. Great place to eat, wonderful servers.

TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. (WFLA) - A Treasure Island man has hired a pet detective with the hope of finding his beloved 200 lb. dog Logan, who vanished earlier this week.

A reward has also been increased to $2,500 for anyone who brings Logan home safely.

Logan’s owner, Will O’Shea told WFLA.com he and his family have not received any major leads about Logan’s disappearance.

Logan was last seen on Monday evening. O’Shea and his family left Logan at home when they went to the store that night.

“When we returned about 45 minutes later, Logan did not greet us, but we assumed he was sleeping in another room,” O’Shea said.

Friends arrived at the O’Shea family’s home about ten minutes later and wanted to say “Hi” to Logan, but he was nowhere to be found.

“We immediately started searching our backyard and neighborhood. We called the police and had them come out. They also helped search, but no luck,” said O’Shea.

The family searched for Logan until midnight, then started searching again on Tuesday at 4:30 a.m.
O’Shea and his family passed out flyers on multiple days during the week. He said they have received three leads. Two leads are in the St. Pete area and the other in Sarasota.

O’Shea said he decided to hire Miami-area pet detective Jamie Katz to help find Logan.

Katz is a licensed private investigator who specializes in pets. She told WFLA.com that she will start the investigation with an “awareness campaign” that consists of posting 100 laminated posters in the area where Logan was last seen.

“Not everybody watches the news, not everybody is on social media,” said Katz.

Tips will come in to the O’Shea family, who will pass the information along to Katz. Katz will then advise the family about what to do next.

Katz also has tracking dogs that are available to help with the investigation. “Dogs tell us how far the scent goes in each direction,” she said.

A couple weeks ago, Katz and her tracking dogs helped find a missing German Shepherd in St. Pete. She took her tracking dogs to a location where the missing dog was reported to have been seen and Katz’s tracking dogs picked up the missing dog’s scent.

Katz then posted signs all over the area, which led to another tip, which led to the missing dog. “They called me screaming, Katz said about the elated owners.

Katz said it feels great to find a pet for their owner. “It’s the best feeling in the world.

Katz said she has a 66 percent success rate when it comes to finding a missing pet, which she said is above the national average of 16 percent.

Prices for hiring a pet detective like Katz start under $500 and go up, depending on the type of services provided.
